NPC Speech

Ok I have a few questions so I can better figure out what NPCs would logically talk about and what services they can offer:

1- What are fixers expected to do in the game? Sell mission-specific information (this would be cool)? Help buy/sell black market stuff?
2- Same thing about the entertainer in the arena, is he a pimp? a bookie?
3- As I understand it, "The Wall" is a small shady bank the player can use?
4- What's the Vamal gate?

If some of the answers aren't specified, we can work together on finding them :p

ill try to answer your questions as brief as i can:

1. fixers - they can provide certain items at lower costs(usually ammo medikits or weapons) or sometimes unique items that you cannot find in shops .or some unique services like : removing implants, deleting head hunter bounty on your head etc

2. entertainer = something like bookie , in the arena you can only do 1 vs 1 for money match something like the thunder dome in mad max or like the colosseum in rome

3. the wall(not the best name i had ...) its a corp , the player can have secondary missions like:
- recover this package from corp
- an employer of the wall wants to change his job but the boss doesn't let him and he is held there against his will so save him
- go in that corp and hack their system

4. customs gate is the way to go out of the city and travel to the next city , and cause first version will be single player and only 1 city, the ending of the game must take place at customs gate when you leave this city behind and travel to the next one

Ever played the shadowrun genesis game? You could sell fixers sensitive data you found on the matrix and it would attribute it a random price. It would be cool to be able to do something like that here, to help hackers grind some cash towards their pricey cyberdecks and stuff.

Shadowrun for sega is my main source of inspiration lol
and yes some fixers can buy matrix data (like roco lol)

nope,i cant access it either,although i have a google account. it says that my account has not been granted permission to that document,the owner must approve my request for access...

If u want to share some code or doc file or tables , please use googledocs (don't forget to give permissions to watch for anyone ). This portal allows you to look at docs without registration

For the 3 chat option of the first character you'll need charisma +2 to have it

SO the first char lines are perfect

second char line 3 - perfect looooooooooool nice description of android + humor

last char line 2 - ahahahahaha again nice humor touch

and + upgrade (enchant or slots) for items to make them unique, something like that...

2. entertainer = something like bookie , in the arena you can only do 1 vs 1 for money match something like the thunder dome in mad max or like the colosseum in rome

yeah, nice idea... like a card game or other mini game to farm for money with limited time per day... on this idea we can make like a tournament of players... with point per win with bonus for 1st position... or something like that...

Yeah Winston's name is a rip-off from Shadowrun on the genesis. I like doing that sometimes, referring to other works (check out everyone's name in Cocobongo, apart from Goldman, which is also a reference to something else).

Also: Just because Winston says Goldman is a noob it doesn't mean that he is. It's all rumors at this point. He could be a potent swordsman, just new in town.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I have to say the character art is a great inspiration.

Have you guys thought about the character creator? Will it have a fixed character, or will you get to choose gender, race? will you be allowed to make an android character?

Depends on what main plot and story we will pick up , best way is to make all possible scenarios at "First release Storyline" and by the end of the week to have a poll for voting what scenario should we use then we shall see if the char is a fixed one or you can customize it in race to

It will be good to have a poker game. I think it will give a nice feeling to the bars... We need some, right?
